Construction Details

The LENA PYJAMA SET features a carefully constructed top with facings, piping details, a notched collar, button closure, chest pocket, sleeves and cuffs, combined with comfortable wide-leg pants.

The top construction begins with the preparation of the fusible interfacing and the assembly of the front and back facings. The chest pocket is prepared with piping and attached to the front before the shoulder seams are assembled.

The sleeves are attached to the armholes and the side seams are then sewn continuously from the underarm to the hem. The cuffs are prepared with piping bias tape and attached to the sleeve ends for a refined finish.

The collar is constructed with piping bias tape and attached to the neckline. The front edge also receives piping before the facings are attached. The back facing is clipped around the curves and understitching is used to help keep the facing neatly positioned inside the garment.
