FRESH DRESS – Sewing Pattern

FRESH DRESS – One Size

Description

The FRESH DRESS is a loose and flowing dress designed for a light silhouette, comfort and graceful movement. Its relaxed construction and fluid shape make it a versatile garment that can be adapted to different fabrics and seasons.

The dress features an elegant V-neckline at both the front and back, delicately highlighting the figure. The cape-style sleeves are enhanced with gathered ruffles, creating an airy effect and adding movement to the silhouette.

The body of the dress is constructed with a gathered upper panel followed by a gathered lower ruffled panel, creating additional volume, lightness and a fluid drape. The dress has a loose, comfortable fit and reaches approximately knee length based on the finished garment length of 109 cm from the High Point Shoulder.

The neckline is fully finished with bias binding for a clean and neat finish. The bottom of the dress and the sleeves are finished with a narrow 5 mm hem, providing a refined and professional result.

Style Tips

The FRESH DRESS combines a loose, flowing silhouette with gathered details, creating a light and comfortable garment with plenty of movement.

Choose viscose or chiffon for a softer, more fluid drape, or use linen for a more natural and breathable interpretation. Crepe can create an elegant and refined finish.

The V-necklines at the front and back create an elegant upper silhouette, while the cape-style sleeves and gathered ruffles add volume and movement. The gathered upper and lower skirt panels create a light, flowing shape.

The bias-bound neckline and narrow hems contribute to a clean and professional finish.

Important Note

Before cutting your final fabric, we recommend making a test garment (muslin) to check the fit and make any necessary adjustments. The booklet specifically recommends sewing a test garment before cutting the fabric to help avoid difficult alterations afterwards.

The FRESH DRESS is an easy sewing project (2/5) with an estimated sewing time of approximately 4–6 hours. Its construction introduces useful garment-making techniques including bias binding, gathering, ruffled panel assembly, sleeve construction, seam finishing and narrow hemming.
